Each year, the Student Services Office is pleased to offer several unique and exciting events to students to improve your educational experience at the Oregon State University College of Forestry. In addition to these, we also keep a current listing of important upcoming dates below. Check back often to be sure you are up to date!



Annual Ring

Incoming undergraduate students are officially welcomed to the College of Forestry each summer during CONNECT Week at Annual Ring. Annual Ring includes a barbecue at the Forestry Club Cabin in the McDonald Dunn Forest, nature walks, games with prizes, and plenty of opportunities to meet fellow students as well as forestry faculty and staff.  Annual Ring 2014 will take place on Thursday, September 25, 2014.  For more information, take a look at our Annual Ring page!



Student Clubs Day

Are you interested in the various clubs offered to College of Forestry students but unsure which one to join or what they are all about? Each year the Student Services Office organizes the Student Clubs Day to help connect students with the clubs they are interested in. Additonally, coffee and treats are always available! To learn about our clubs immediately, please take a look at our Clubs & Organizations page.   Clubs Day 2014 will take place on October 14, 2014, in the Peavy Hall Courtyard from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Stop by early for free coffee and treats!



Spring Awards Ceremony

Each May, the College of Forestry celebrates its outstanding students and faculty and honors its generous donors at the Spring Awards Ceremony. Recipients of scholarships, fellowships, the Paul & Neva Dunn Outstanding Senior Award, the Bowerman Leadership Award, the Pack Essay Awards, the Kelly Axe Award, and the Xi Sigma Pi teaching and mentoring awards are recognized at the ceremony. The 2015 Spring Awards Ceremony will be held on May 13, 2015, at 5:30 p.m. in the CH2M Hill Alumni Center ballroom. Current and previous award winners can be found on the College Awards page. Information about the upcoming 2015 awards ceremony will be available as the date approaches.



Commencement Breakfast

Commencement Breakfast is held the in the morning before the graduation ceremony as a time for the College of Forestry to recognize its graduating seniors and for graduates to congratulate each other, thank their professors, and grab a bite to eat before the ceremony. The 2015 Commencement Breakfast will be held on June 13, 2015, in the Peavy Hall Courtyard. Please contact Jessica Fontaine at 541-737-1585 for more information.
